MCV47 - Season's Greetings

OK, even I am having a hard time making Christmas cards when it's so summery outside! It took me an embarrassingly long time to come up with this very simple Christmas card for Muse: ChristmasVisions, inspired by Kimberly's beautiful cardinal card:

I spent a few days with a die-cut MFT cardinal on my desk. But the more I focused on Kimberly's card, the more I realized that to me, the very distinctive design element was the two red strips on the card. (That may be a Canadian thing - I see a flag here! lol!)

So I chose to make my focal image the sentiment but use a focal image to create my red edges. I used Delicata gold ink on the flower centres for some shimmer.

I used:
-Impress Poinsettia (retired?)
-Hero Arts Sentiment
-Avery Elle Poinsettia centres
-Avery Elle Double-Pierced rectangle
-Classic Cherry Ranger Dye Ink

I love the design you ended up with, Ardyth! I know what you mend , but it helped me with dealing with 105 heat today :)

Totally agree that focusing on the two red stripes was the route to take! Clean, simple and PERFECTLY stamped!!!
