RIC-inspired Mother's Day

Anyone else missing the Runway? I certainly am! I got a new catalogue in the mail and was inspired by this dress. I love the crispness of navy and white, don't you?

Cascading Roses Full Dress

I could see that the dress had more than just outlined flowers so I tried a new (for me) technique. After I stamped the flowers, leaving the bottom white, just like the hem of the skirt, I smooshed the same ink onto an acrylic block and used a watercolour brush and different amounts of water to 'colour' various parts of the flowers in different shades of the same colour. Easy-peasy. Not sure why I've never done that before!

I used:
-Altenew Wild Hibiscus
-Altenew Desert Night Ink
-Neat & Tangled Gardenia Blooms

Your other dress post made me think of the Runway challenge. Maybe it needs a reboot! Love how you coloured these flowers - such a cool idea!
