FFC30 - Joy (2)

Time for some mid-challenge inspiration the current Festive Friday Challenge! Here's a reminder of the inspiration photo:

I used a Savvy Joy die and a little PTI star outline die. Very simple to reproduce (in fact as I'm writing this I'm thinking how to transform it into one of my Church Christmas Cards - maybe a little 'to the world' will do it!)

I also wonder if I should have done the JOY in cream and the star in red, but I think the red joy being bigger helps evoke the feeling of the photo better. I may try it in reverse just to see what we think!

I love the red joy on the rich brown background. Please do let us see what it looks like switched around :)

"WE" think this is perfect! Especially so with the inspiration photo! The other color combo does sound just as interesting....will compare once created :)

This one is gorgeous! Looks like it would be easy enough to replicate as well. Love that rich brown. I will admit I really like how the star and joy are centered and not too big. In my world, it's a great card! Have a great weekend!!! Bev

I love "thinking it through" with you. Maybe I can get some design ideas. The card looks great as is, but I'd love to see it the other way, too.

Wonderful colourful richness, Ardyth ... so beautifully balanced! I've imagined what it would look like in the alternative colours and think it'd be just as perfect! Anita :)

Fantastic card. I love the look of the kraft, red and white, and the star inside the joy is a great idea.

LOVE this card! As soon as I saw it I thought, yes - you can find 'JOY' in the simple things.
