CASology 55 - Camp

This week's CASology Cue Card is CAMP!

Let me start by saying that I do not camp. Ever. I am an indoor, electricity, running-water kind of a girl. Toilets, air conditioning and hair dryers are constitutional rights, aren't they?

But if I did camp, this card shows what I think my favourite part would be - the beautiful views and sunsets. From a distance! lol!

For the sun, sand and water, I used various stamps from Hero Arts Brush Strokes set. They're so versatile and can be used to create lots of other things. Or use them on their own for an abstract look. The trees are from Closer to My Heart's Journey set.

And now it's your turn - I can't wait to see what you'll come up with!

Here are links to the blogs of the other DT members - drop by and see what they've got for you!

So gorgeous Ardyth - it makes me feel all peaceful looking at it. And I've been looking for a brush stroke stamp for ages...think you may have sold it to me!

Absolutely LOVE this card. Great use of various stamps to make this pretty scene. (BTW, I agree with you 100% about camping and my "constitutional rights.")

I'm so with you on the whole camping thing!! Don't forget room service! lol. This is exactly what I'd want to see out of my window from my nice cabin/hotel room. Gorgeous card. Calm, soothing, serene. Simply lovely. *sigh* This view and my craft supplies....Bev

I've done my fair share of rustic camping but I'm with you regarding the comforts of home being required! This looks like an oil painting! Amazing card!

Camping, showering in an icky stall with a gross concrete floor...yeah. And I am the only family member who doesn't love it. *blech*
I bet you could get this gorgeous view from inside a beachside cottage though!

I'm afraid we haven't camped in many moons(we did the whole camping thing for many years)but then we too saw the light LOL!

Ellie says: "That's like Camp Queen Elizabeth on a card." I'd say you nailed the cue card!

Your card is so lovely! I love to be outdoors but my back can no longer take the hard ground and as I near 50 I too prefer the comforts of home or a nice hotel over camping! Lol! And I agree the views are the best part! :)

Gorgeous! You have peferctly captured the serenity of nature.

I have been known to camp, but not without my blow dryer. I even take it with me to hotels because I do not trust that they will have one with enough wattage to tame my mane!

At first glance, I would have never guessed that you used the HA Brush Strokes set...Genius, I tell ya!!! Love how you created depth with the trees, too! Another gorgeous card, Ardyth!!!

Absolutely brilliant to use the brush strokes for a lake!! So in love with your idea. And the spotty sun compliments it perfectly.

This reminds me of my Dad's home on the lake that we always referred to as the camp! How I miss it!
