CASology #49 - Fish

This week's CASology Cue Card is Fish

I don't have very many fish stamps and the ones I have (or at least the ones I could find), just weren't doing it for me, if you know what I mean.  So I used this Muji Funny Face eye stamp. I stamped the fish bodies and then masked and used the stamp again to make their tails. Easy-peasy.

I coloured them with copics in bright colours and then added a little grey shadow underneath, an easy trick that helps to add dimension to a flat card.  (ah, man, I missed one - do you see that?! Actually, I did that on purpose so that you can easily see the difference! lol!)

There was no room for a sentiment without throwing the design off-balance, so the inside of the card says "Just Keep Swimming!" - a perfect card for a time when someone needs some encouragement.

And now it's your turn. Before you go, check out what the rest of the Design Team made for your inspiration:

Wow - masking perfection! My goodness woman, you are such an inspiration!

The grey shading makes a HUGE difference. Great idea to leave one wee guy unshaded so that we may compare the results (wink, wink). It amazes me how you can "see" a potential image in a stamp by doing a bit of slicing & dicing.

Now that's called maximization of resources. Amazing use of an eye stamp set :) only u can do it. I love how nicely masking was done to result into this perfection :)

Oh, Lord, woman, when you use a phrase like "easy peasy" on a card that requires you to mask thirteen fishies, you are using a phrase book from some whole different and advance planet than the one from whence I stamp. WOW!

I thought that the fish were all cut out! Your little shadow trick worked. Too bad the one little fishy gave up his secret. LOL! The colors just pop off the card.

Only you would have an "eye" for turning an eye into a fish. I looked at the link and it would NEVER have occurred to me to use that stamp. That being said, I love the little bright colored school.

You are just the most clever card person ever! An eye indeed!! I love this concept so much. They remind me of "Christian" fishes and this gives me an idea for confirmation cards for next year! So much work, and the result is fabulous. I love this card. Amen. I love this card! Bev

You are so smart! An eye. Love it. There you go again thinking outside the box.

I really need to start adding a shadow to everything. Love how it adds so much dimension.
