Muse 5 - Thanks so much!

This week's Muse is Marion and her cheerful card here:

What a fantastic colour combination! You can't look at this card and not smile. Go on, try! See?

I decided to focus on the colours and the horizontal stripes. The sentiment is from Trendy Trees and I used the old Word Window punch. I added a bit of texture by running the coloured stripes through my Cuttlebug with my Grosgrain texture plate.

I haven't used my word window punch in years! Love how it looks against the fabulous grosgrain ribbon.

I thought you used actual ribbon on your card and wondered how you had punched through it, until I read you had used a Cuttlebug embossing folder. :) I love the colours you used on this card! Thanks for the inspiration.

Wowzers! Seriously, an embossing folder...fabulous results. These colors really do jump right off the page!

Is it a Cuttlebug folder ?

That embossing plate is amazing - I was totally going to ask how you die cut the ribbon so cleanly! Love your take on the muse - the colours and stripes totally sell it in a CAS way.

This really captures Marion's card perfectly. When I look at both yours and hers, I see the colors of summer. And I think you'll have to post who makes the grosgrain texture plate. It's so cool. Really great card! Bev

What a wow card! I too thought you had used ribbon and was wondering how you'd got such a clean cut through the yellow piece. In other news, there's a grosgrain texture plate? Must put on my wish list! :)

Your strips look like grosgrain ribbon and I was wondering how you punched through that. There's no end to fascinating embossing folders! This is such a lovely take on the MUSE, Ardyth!

No way! A texture plate!!! Looks just like ribbon. I agree with your P.S. on today's CTS post, they should give you a commission. ;-) You've sold me!!!

This is so cool. I was going to ask how did you punch that window in ribbon with a punch??? Wow. Awesome effect.

Love this! If you hadn't told us I would have thought that was grosgrain ribbon :) Perfect use of that little window punch, too!

Grosgrain texture plate! Who knew? Was wondering how you managed to punch through ribbon with out fraying it. Cool look.

A total "Ardyth" take on the patterned inspiration card! It really sings. I love the window you used for your sentiment ... reminds me of the card I posted today but I promise I didn't see yours until just now!! You have such a great feel for things. I tried imagining the sentiment in the same place, but with any of the other three colors, and the yellow definitely works the best!
