US187, LIM96, DD31 - Poinsettia

For three challenges:

Unscripted Sketches 187: (which my friend Geri plays along with - go check out her card for this challenge along with her other work - it's all amazing!)

and this week's Less is More challenge, which is also to use green and red.

I used my Uniko geometric flower to make a poinsettia. First, I coloured it with Copics. But I wasn't happy with the coverage and wasn't sure how to make the black centre yellow. So I turned to my favourite embellishment - Stickles, and just coloured it in. And then waited overnight for it to dry (that's always the hard part for me!)

And then it started raining. And it didn't stop, so there was not much light for this photo.

Don't forget to drop back tomorrow for this week's CASology cue card. (I'll give you a little hint - this card would qualify!)

OMG! This looks like stained glass...it is just as beautiful as your stained glass window that you shared with us a while back!
And (blush, blush) thank you so much for your kind words! You did an amazing job with this sketch. Clean, simple & perfectly neat & tidy - love it!

Too bad there isn't a way to add a ton of dimensional glaze to this and create a broach, belt buckle, something! It's really stunning!!
